  • Learn the secret to create persuasive copy, promotional emails, and engaging ads.
  • Find out how to maximize LIVE attendance and results.

Are you looking for ways to get more people to sign up for your events and actually attend?

It’s not enough to just put together a slide deck and hope people show up. You need to promote your events in an effective way to get the best results.

Here’s the anatomy of a successful event promotion.

First, you need a landing page with persuasive copy.

This should include a clear and compelling headline, a brief description of what’s included in the event, and a few bullets about how it will benefit the attendee. Include a call to action with the promise of an immediate payoff!

Next, you’ll need a whole bunch of targeted emails.

You need:

  • Promo emails
  • Reminder emails
  • Replay emails

These emails are critical for getting people to signup, show up, and watch the replay. Make sure to include a sense of urgency in the email so that people don’t procrastinate and miss the event.

Ads, Tweets, Social Media Posts

If you want maximum signups, you should also create a few ads for your event. These can be placed on social media sites or other websites that your target audience visits. The ads should include a link to the landing page and a brief description of the event.

*NOTE: “Ads” aren’t necessarily paid. You can post ads on all your regular social media channels to get the message out to your followers and subscribers. If you’re not in the habit of paying for ads (I spent a little over $30K last month on Facebook ads), consider spending a few bucks as a “test” to see if you can get more people into your event.

You can also create some tweets and social media posts to promote the event. Keep the tweets and posts short and sweet, but don’t be afraid to be creative. ALWAYS use visuals, such as images, videos, or GIFs to grab people’s attention.

You can also consider offering discounts or exclusive bonuses to people who sign up and SHOW up!

Make Some Extra Money On Your Confirmation Page

Make an offer on the confirmation page! Even if it’s for a copy of your book, or something low cost, this can give you a NICE bump in sales AND also offset your advertising costs.

The Money’s In The Follow Up

Finally, you should follow up with attendees after the event.

The majority of people who sign up for your online events will not show up. The replay is where you will get a HUGE part of your results. Whether it’s sales, or applications, or just adoption of your ideas, the replays are key to maximizing your results.

Make sure you flog that replay long after you’re sick of hearing about it yourself!

Promoting any event can be a daunting task, the promotion is what makes it successful.

Follow these steps and you’ll be sure to get more people to sign up for your events and actually show up!
