The Difference Between An “Offer” And An “Offer Stack”

(Offer Stacks Matter If You Wanna Make A LOT Of Money!)

When it comes to marketing, two crucial concepts that often get confused are the offer and the offer stack.

An offer is essentially a promise your product or service makes to your target audience. This promise is intended to either solve a problem or satisfy a desire.

A well-structured offer resonates with your audience “hot buttons!”

While the offer is the enticing promise, the offer stack is the specific deliverables that will fulfill the promise.

In a nutshell, the offer stack is made up of the tangible components. As they say, “It’s what’s in the box!”

My Longest Running Offer

Here’s an offer that has run non-stop since 2001. “I’ll show you how to write and publish your own outrageously profitable ebook in as little as 7 days, even if you can’t write, can’t type, and failed high school English class.”

This is a powerful promise. It appeals to many different people who feel stuck or incapable of taking the first step in writing a book.

However, the magic truly happens when you introduce the offer stack—the detailed deliverables designed to fulfill on the promise.

An offer stack is designed to directly address potential barriers and objections.

For example:

  • Master class on how to simplify the book-writing process
  • An exclusive module on 9 quick strategies to get a book written quickly
  • Software to help with brainstorming titles
  • Software to write your Amazon description
  • Training on how to publish to Amazon
  • Personal referrals to low-priced book cover designers

With an offer stack like this, you are not just making a promise; you are equipping the audience with tools that directly counter objections they may have to the entire process.

An effective offer stack doesn’t just list off a bunch of crap. First, it directly engages their doubts, fears and objections. Second, it presents solutions that allow them to bypass, minimize, or avoid as many of those negatives as possible (preferably all of them).

Bottom line: making a persuasive offer requires two foundational elements.

First, you need an outstanding promise that genuinely captures your audience desires. This promise needs to resonate well enough that your audience feels they can’t afford to miss out.

Second, this promise must be supported by a meticulously crafted offer stack that delivers on that promise (and then some). The offer stack should strive to remove as many obstacles and objections as possible.

When both of these elements work in harmony, they can create an offer that makes enough sales to change your life.

I’m living proof of that! 😉
